Artificial insemination
is a technique that can help treat certain kinds of infertility in both men and women. In this procedure, sperm are inserted directly into a woman's cervix, fallopian tubes, or uterus. This makes the trip shorter for the sperm and bypasses any possible obstructions. Ideally, it makes pregnancy possible where it wasn't before. Intrauterine insemination (IUI), in which the sperm is placed in the uterus, is the most common form of artificial insemination.
It's a popular infertility treatment for men who have very low sperm counts or sperm that aren't strong enough to swim through the cervix and up into the fallopian tubes. Artificial insemination is also sometimes an option for women who have endometriosis or abnormalities of any of their reproductive organs.  click here if you want to increase your fertility

Your doctor will use ovulation kits, ultrasound, or blood tests to make sure your partner is ovulating when she undergos artificial insemination.

When she is ovulating, you will be asked to produce a sample of semen. The doctor will suggest that you abstain from sex for two to five days in advance to ensure a higher sperm count.
if you live close to the clinic, you may be able to collect the semen at home by masturbating. Otherwise, the clinic will provide a private room for this purpose.

IVF step by step

The first step in IVF involves injecting hormones so your partner can produce multiple eggs each month instead of only one. Then she will be tested to determine whether she's ready for egg retrieval.

Prior to the retrieval procedure, she will be given injections of a medication that ripens the developing eggs and starts the process of ovulation. Timing is important; the eggs must be retrieved just before they emerge from the follicles in the ovaries. If the eggs are taken out too early or too late, they won't develop normally. Your doctor may do blood tests or an ultrasound to be sure the eggs are at the right stage of development before retrieving them. The IVF facility will provide you with special instructions to follow the night before and the day of the procedure. Most women are given pain medication and the choice of being mildly sedated or going under full anesthesia.

During the procedure, your doctor will locate follicles in the ovary with ultrasound and remove the eggs with a hollow needle. The procedure usually takes less than 30 minutes, but may take up to an hour.

Immediately following the retrieval, your partners eggs will be mixed in the laboratory with your sperm, which he will have donated on the same day.

While you and your partner go home, the fertilized eggs are kept in the clinic under observation to ensure optimal growth. Depending on the clinic, you may even wait up to five days until the embryo reaches a more advanced blastocyst stage.

Once the embryos are ready, you will return to the IVF facility so doctors can transfer one or more into your partners uterus. This procedure is quicker and easier than the retrieval of the egg. The doctor will insert a flexible tube called a catheter your  partners vagina and cervix and into her uterus, where the embryos will be deposited. To increase the chances of pregnancy, most IVF experts recommend transferring up to three embryos at a time.

FSH TEST Follicle-Stimulating Hormone

  • In women, FSH helps control the menstrual cycle and the production of eggs by the ovaries. The amount of FSH varies throughout a woman's menstrual cycle and is highest just before she releases an egg (ovulates).

  • In men, FSH helps control the production of sperm. The amount of FSH in men normally remains constant.

Why is it such an important test?
The FSH level can help determine whether male or female sex organs (testicles or ovaries) are functioning properly and to identify causes for Difficulties conceiving.
For a woman who is having problems with her menstrual cycle or who cannot become pregnant, more than one blood sample may be needed to help identify a follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) problem. A sample may be taken each day for several days in a row.

Sperm quality
is tested in a semen analysis which is usually one of the first tests done to help determine whether a man has a problem fathering a child (infertility).
A semen analysis measures the amount of semen a man produces and determines the number and quality of sperm in the semen sample.

A problem with the semen or sperm affects more than one-third of the couples who are unable to have children (infertile) .
